Great news, we have accepted our slot to play at SXSW in March 2006... we are so excited and can't wait to hook up with some of our friends over in the US. We will hopefully visit LA first and maybe even squeeze in a gig or two! We'll keep you updated as to our plans and our itinerary for once we are there!!
The rather legendary Nic Harcourt has been regularly spinning several tunes off the 071 EP on his 'Morning Becomes Eclectic' show. We've also been rather excitingly hitting the airwaves all over the States on various college radio stations. And we thought our student days were behind us.... Check out their great site and have a listen: www.kcrw.com.

We are still holed up in North East London busily writing and demoing new tracks which we should have available in some shape or form very soon!
We'll be donning some of our smartest gear for a Photo shoot soon and we'll make the shots available here on the site.
Talking of photos, here's one taken at Glastonbury this year at our 2nd show of the weekend on the wonderful Bandstand Stage. There are a couple more that have just been added to the images section and we've got loads more which we'll get up really soon, so keep checking back!

Amy May and Paris Motel plan to take a short break, hopefully in a month or so a new batch of songs will emerge and demos will start being recorded and hopefully we'll get out there and start playing them live too!

Dear all
Many, many thanks to those of you who came to our wonderful ‘Time For Change’ concert on July 14th. Despite a pretty awful week for London, many of you still chose to brave public transport and came along to join us in raising money for Centrepoint at St. Paul’s Church, Covent Garden. We’re still counting the final pennies (mainly from the bar, where you seemed most keen to be charitable) but think the total raised will be around the £2000 mark.
The evening featured special guests Hal, Ed Harcourt, Riley Briggs and Martin Grech, along with Paris Motel and a 35 strong orchestra, in a magical evening of sultry summer music. Each performer brought their own particular musical style to the evening, which was tied together by the wonderful sounds of the Paris Motel Orchestra, who generously gave their time for free. We were also helped out by a veritable army of volunteers who sold drinks, designed tickets and DJed the night away, resulting in a real one-of-a-kind sort of night.
Here’s what a few people had to say about the evening:
"thank you for an amazing night at the Time For Change concert in Covent Garden. I spent the entire evening utterly speechless at how beautiful all the performances were, which made me see all the performers in an entirely different light. Okay, I'm starting to gush now, but yeah, it was definitely one of my favourite gigs of all time." - Paul Reeves
"The concert last night was, it has to be said, and so it shall be, when all things are considered, wonderful. In a quest for Ed Harcourt tickets my typing fingers found themselves stumbling onto the Paris Motel website. Interesting (I thought) this looks rather jolly, and its going to charity, all rather too good - a veritable stumbling on something as such, an online sandwich between hotmail visits and e-bay auctions. 7:50 yesterday - this is fantastic, absolutely fantastic, my girlfriend and I smiling like random nutters, feet tapping like a celebrity come dancer. 8:30 - ...(speech remains redundant) 9:00 - a shared glance between Emily and I ('this is beautiful, Tom,' 'yes, I know, as you are.' 'Ok, don't push it.') 9:45 - whereabouts would I put this on my list of greatest nights ever? Its Top 10 material - let me get the calculator, 24 x 365 = 8760, plus approximately 200 days, i've lived for 9000 days, and that was a top 10 day, a one in nine hundred chance. 9:47 - Emily asks me to put the calculator away. The tapping is annoying, I'm told. 11:30 - home, happy, wonderful, thank you." - Tom Regan
"Your voice was amazing and the whole orchestration and arrangement for the whole evening was just incredible. Mr Splitfoot was a particular favourite of mine (so powerful live and with the orchestra) and love song almost moved me to tears (seriously!!! - yes i am a big girl's blouse). Martin Grech was also incredible - I'd never heard him before (what a voice!!!). Riley was really good, even though he did seem a little nervous, bless him. Ed Harcourt is a true professional and Hal are without doubt one of my favourite bands of the moment. But all that said... Paris Motel were my personal favourite on the night. You sounded like you'd been playing together for years. just amazing!!! I was truly humbled and so glad to have experienced it. hope I’ll get to see the recording. the standing ovation at the end was very well deserved!" - Gavin Hilzbrich.
And here’s a rather nice review from Richard Hilton at the Morning Star: Read review
Anyway, after all that praise the cast and crew of Paris Motel all have terribly swollen heads, so I’ll just say a final thank you to all who came and who were involved, to our wonderful orchestra and guests and to everyone who likes Paris Motel! And of course if you’d like to come and see a gig just pop over to our gig page.
With best wishes
Amy May.
