Mr. Splitfoot on 'The Walking Dead' Trailer

Paris Motel's song 'Mr. Splitfoot' has been featured on the trailer for Frank Darabont's 'The Walking Dead' TV series, scheduled to debut on AMC in October 2010.

Here it is, being shown at Comic-Con:

New album news

It has been a very long time coming. I've spent a couple of years galavanting about the place, playing my viola and singing with all sorts of lovely bands, from Elbow and Snow Patrol to Dizzee Rascal and The Streets. I've had a wonderful time but must confess that I've found it a little difficult to fulfill my motelian duties of late.

Fortunately we've found a moment to record a new album, the first of two entitled 'Songs of Innocence and Experience'. You'll be able to buy it very soon.

Each album is made up of covers. The first, 'Songs of Innocence', is a collection of songs that my parents played me when I was a kid. The tracklist is as follows: 'And She Was' by Talking Heads (with 'Queen of Hearts' intro), 'Milkman of Human Kindness' by Billy Bragg, 'Inspiration' by Grace Jones, 'Hanging on the telephone' by Blondie, 'Golden Brown' by the Stranglers and 'Big Eyed Beans From Venus' by Captain Beefheart; Laurie Anderson's 'From The Air', Bob Dylan's 'Don't think twice', 'Oscar Tango' by Penguin Cafe Orchestra, 'I can't stand the rain' - the Tina Turner version - and a version of 'Summertime' that was my lullaby before I went to sleep...

I recorded it live with a WONDERFUL 20-piece string section, 5 woodwinds, organ, piano and, of course, the amazing Joe Smith on drums and Mike Smith on bass.

The whole thing was recorded by Nat Chan, with additional vocal recordings by Ben Trigg.

Very excitingly, the album is being mixed by Elbow's Craig Potter.

I hope to be able to share some of the new tracks with you soon.

Until then, best wishes from Amy May. x
